:: About Jason Gray :: Jason Jeffrey Gray (born January 18, 1972) is an American singer-songwriter born and raised in Minnesota who now lives near the Twin Cities area. Jason was born Jason Gay, but added an "r" to his last name in 2006 due to fans of his music having trouble getting past internet content filters to access his web page and email. Jason grew up in Southwestern Minnesota. He spent six years in youth ministry, before going into full time music ministry in 1999 as an independent artist. Jason has a speech handicap, and as a stutterer, his work emphasizes finding strength in weakness.
Jason was honored as one of Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans in 2003 by the Minnesota Junior Chamber for his volunteerism, civic leadership, and humanitarian work with World Vision's Hope Initiative, which addresses the needs of children orphaned by AIDS in Africa and other third-world countries. Jason has been to Africa in 2003 and 2006, and is known for his advocacy of AIDS orphans as well as his music.
Jason released four independent records before signing with Centricity Records in 2006. Centricity released his first major label record, "All The Lovely Losers" in 2007. ChristianityToday.com calls Jason one of "Christian music's best kept secrets." Shane & Shane is a Texas based, Christian band known for acoustic praise and worship music. Shane Barnard:: Christianity began to play an active role in the life of Barnard when he was in ninth grade, when he began to attend a Bible church youth group. He began leading worship soon thereafter. During his junior year as a student at Texas A&M University, Barnard began a recording career. Prior to joining Everett, Barnard teamed up with friend Caleb Carruth to release an album. Entitled Salvation Still Remains, it was released in limited numbers. Barnard and Carruth were rumored to have recorded the album in only two days due to the fact they had to pay for studio time themselves and wanting to make the most of it. Family and friends brought them sandwiches and drinks through out the process. Barnard and Carruth later agreed to end their partnership amicably, stating "they were just moving in different directions". Shane married CCM singer Bethany Dillon in 2008.
Shane Everett:: Everett was born in Dallas, Texas and later moved to Rowlett, a nearby suburb. Everett also attended Texas A&M University. One night after playing with his band in a bar, Everett experienced an encounter with God, which led him to quit his band and start attending church regularly. Shortly thereafter, he met Barnard, and became part of a weekly student-led praise and worship service at Texas A&M. The band originally began with Barnard performing solo acts, but Everett increasingly played a major role in his performances. With the release of their 2003 album, entitled Carry Away, the band became officially known as Shane & Shane.

Beauty Will Rise is Steven Curtis Chapman's seventeenth studio album, released on November 3, 2009. Grammy Award winning and multi-platinum selling artist Steven Curtis Chapman has announced plans to release Beauty Will Rise on November 3 on Sparrow Records.
Beauty Will Rise is a collection of 12 new and profound songs created over the past 15 months during the walk through the darkness of the loss of his daughter Maria and while God continued to meet him there on the journey. Part lament, part praise, part grief, part hope, part wrestling, part pondering, these tracks resonate as Chapman’s personal Psalms. It is a desperately hopeful, raw, personal, and honest recording that is likely the most important of his already incredible 20 plus year ministry.
Chapman announced the news on his video blog (chapmanchannel.typepad.com) from Maria’s Big House of Hope, the special needs healing home recently opened by Show HOPE, the adoption and orphan care ministry founded by Chapman and his wife Mary Beth.
The facility is named in loving memory of their five-year old daughter and is located in Luoyang, China. Maria’s Big House of Hope will care for orphans with medical impairments, such as cleft palate, clubbed feet, urological disorders, blindness, and neurological disorders.
For the first time in his career, due to the intensely personal nature of this project, Chapman made the album in a total vacuum while travelling all over the country on tour last autumn and spring.
From the rooftop of Maria’s Big House of Hope, Steven shared details on his blog entry about how the songs for this project came about.
“I am standing on top of the building that because of it’s name, represents something that we never would have scripted, asked for, or imagined. But, we are right in the middle of part of the beauty that God is bringing from the pain and ashes of our last year," he said.
"I began this process a couple of months after May 21, not really knowing if I would ever feel like I could sing, stand on stage again, or express the emotions, the grief and the loss in music.
"But, in the days that followed, I felt that God was allowing me to write my own songs, and that’s really what these are to me; a collection of my own songs, laments, ponderings, and God meeting me and my family in the grief and in the midst of our journey of the last year. It’s been an amazing, wild process; very raw, real, honest.”
The album’s first single, “Heaven is the Face”, will be released to radio on August 21 with the digital single available on September 8.
