No Other Name - The Other Side 2011 Biography and historyNo Other Name - The Other Side 2011 Biography and history
History ::
Rarely does an up-and-coming artist impress industry and fans so readily as to be recognized with a New Artist of the Year nomination before releasing a single project. Such is the legacy of Nashville-based vocal group No Other Name. The 2011 Dove Award nominated act is impacting audiences not only with its music but also its heart for sharing the gospel.

Comprising brother-sister duo, Sam and Laura Allen, along with their friend Chad Smith, the group met at a Nashville music conference. All three admit to knowing early on they shared a musical chemistry.

“During a break in classes, we decided to be tourists and visit the Ryman Auditorium,” says Laura of their decision to check out the legendary Nashville concert venue. “They were letting people get up on stage that day, so we were all taking turns. Then Chad got up there and sang. Sam and I looked and each other and said ‘Wow! He is good!’”

Sam and Laura soon recruited Chad to audition for a special concert to be held at the event’s conclusion. “We auditioned and made it on the program,” recalls Sam. “It was good to partner with somebody like Chad because so often you meet people who are great singers but can’t hear harmonies. Chad could do both really well.”

Sam and Laura not only realized how well Chad’s voice blended with theirs but how his commitment to ministry mirrored their own. Within a few months the siblings left the Christmas tree farm they had grown up on near Tampa, Fla. while Chad said goodbye to family in Louisiana. Soon all three young singers took up residence in Music City. Though No Other Name could easily have found success as a country or pop act, the style of music they wanted to sing was never in question.

“I was a music major in college and involved in every ensemble you could imagine,” says Sam, “but I think there is something special about using the gift God gave you as a specific ministry. I truly believe that you can minister with any kind of music.”

Laura agrees, “I would never say that music can take the place of preaching God’s word” says Laura, “but at the same time people will listen to a song where they might not listen to a sermon. Music is clearly a language that can communicate to everybody.”

While Sam was attending Nashville’s famed Belmont University as a commercial music major, he caught the attention of legendary record executive Mike Curb who soon tapped No Other Name to become part of the Curb Records roster that includes Natalie Grant, Selah, Plumb and other Christian music notables. The group’s national debut, The Other Side, releases on Curb in October 2011.

Working with award-winning writer/producer Bernie Herms (Natalie Grant, Casting Crowns) in cooperation with Jason Kyle and Blake Bollinger, the trio gathered songs for The Other Side that are equal in strength of message to its vocal firepower. Songs like “The Only One” emphasizes the believer’s total and utter dependence on God, while “Let It Start With Me” inspires listeners to fulfill The Great Commission. Likewise, lead single “Lead You to the Cross,” is a vibrant anthem that proclaims the essence of No Other Name’s ministry.

Shooting music videos for “Lead You to the Cross” in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and “Let It Start With Me” in Bangkok, Thailand also served to underscore the group’s aim to spread the gospel worldwide. No Other Name is a strong proponent of international missions and has partnered with the International Mission Board to help recruit missionaries while joining the organization on recent trips to Nicaragua as well as Brazil.

Chad concludes, “Our favorite group verse is Acts 4:12; ‘Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.’ This scripture encapsulates our vision statement, as we strive to make His name known among the nations.”

Ministering together for over 10 years, No Other Name brings a creative, interesting and powerful presentation of songs full of truth and meaning. Featuring thoughtful and scripturally based lyrics with a tight harmony, they have ministered in churches all over the nation. From arenas to the local church, No Other Name's message is evident - it's all about Christ and what He did on the cross.

Worship service
No Other name strives to be flexible and meet the needs of any service. If it's a Sunday morning song service, they'll work closely with the pastor and music minister to "match" the music to the mood and the sermon theme. Of course, they also can fill an entire service with music, leading to a poignant time of worship and introspection.

Conference
No Other name has provided music for many pastors' conferences, conventions and other special events, including the Tennessee Baptist Convention and the Louisiana Baptist Convention.

Revival
No Other Name enjoys being part of a revival team, working with the pastor, evangelist and even the choir to make the music and preaching as seamless and effective as possible.

Choir participation
No Other Name has several fun, singable songs that are perfect for including church choir or even a band or orchestra. You can get materials in advance for your church's musicians to learn and then hold a rehearsal with No Other name prior to the service. Your choir and congregation will love it!

What People Say
"No Other Name offers a unique blend of spiritual power and musical excellence. Their music reflects their vibrant relationship with Christ. It is a joy to hear No Other name lift their voices in praise unto the Lord."
-- Dr. Tommy Green, Pastor, First Baptist Church Brandon, Fla.; former president of the Florida Baptist Convention

"I know personally the members of No Other Name. What qualifies their performances as moving and powerful is their sincere heart for ministry. Their musical excellence is made all the more real by their ministry vision. In a day when many pastors are hesitant to recommend individuals or groups for fear of the lack of integrity, I recommend No Other Name without reservation. They're the 'real thing' because they know the 'real person of Jesus Christ.'"
-- Dr. Kevin Shrum, Pastor, Inglewood Baptist Church, Nashville, Tenn.; former president of the Tennessee Baptist Convention

"No Other Name is a fresh approach to gospel music. Our church enjoyed their warm, spirit-filled leadership in our worship ... in fact, we were so impressed we are having them back again this year!"
-- Chuck Weatherford, Music Minister, Christ United Methodist Church, Jackson, MS.

"I love everything about No Other Name -- their tight harmonies, total honesty and great sense of humor. But the thing that stands out the most about them is their clear focus on the gospel."
-- Stacy Beam, Singer/songwriter, Nashville, Tenn.............

Family Force 5 - III 2011 Biography and historyFamily Force 5 - III 2011 Biography and history
History ::
Mix a handful of thunderous beats and a dash of dirty Souf swagger in a bucket filled with Southern-fried, greasy guitar. Then roast ingredients all day in the sweltering Georgia heat, pepper with good-time lyrics, and enjoy the spicy southern rock jambalaya of FAMILY FORCE 5. Since 2005, the genre-obliter...ating Atlanta quintet has been setting audiences’ feet alight with their incendiary dance-rock anthems, turning that dance floor into hot coals, refusing to let fans keep their kicks still.

Part party-bangers, part grimy rockers, FAMILY FORCE 5’s booty-quaking beats and face-melting synths have earned them a devout following culled from their seemingly ceaseless touring and chart-topping albums, the group’s previous album 08’s Dance or Die debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #30 and at #8 on the Modern Rock with 13,000 copies sold in the first week.

Their frenetic 2006 debut Business Up Front, Party in the Back was released on Maverick records, but when the major label politics became burdensome, FAMILY FORCE 5 forged their own path, pushing their release to sell over 350,000 digital singles and well over 150,000 albums. It’s the DIY-style that has made this musical family (made up of the brothers Jacob, Josh, and Solomon Olds, and brothers-from-other-mothers, Nathan Currin and Derek Mount) into a self-made juggernaut that steamrollered audiences with their upbeat party anthems and raucous stage antics. Their 2008 follow-up Dance or Die pushed the band further into electro-groove territory, with Solomon’s passionate vocals leading the synth-powered cavalcade.

Now after three years of touring the universe and electrifying crowds at big festivals like Sonisphere and the Vans Warped Tour, the band is back with their new release, III. “We wanted this to be our Thriller album. We just didn’t land the guest appearances by Paul McCartney or Eddie Van Halen,” guitarist Derek Mount jokes about the much-anticipated follow-up to Dance or Die. “We wrote this record everywhere while we were on tour,” says Solomon. “It was written on my laptop and recorded in studios around the world. We wrote nearly 70 songs in the back of the bus, on airplanes, in barbecue joints, and in a cabin in the north Georgia mountains.”

III takes FAMILY FORCE 5 back to their rock roots, and those early days when the Olds brothers would perform in a backyard shed at their parents’ Marietta, Georgia home. Music wasn’t a choice for these brothers; it was in their blood. “We were destined for music,” Solomon says. “We knew we had to do it.” Their father Jerome Olds was a well-regarded singer and their mother was a music teacher. While they were just adolescents, they founded a band, honing their musical chops on stages across the country, until the spirit of rock compelled them to pick up guitars in the 2000’s.

On the new album’s return-to-rock sound, the band resurrects the heavy guitars and bombastic beats of their debut. Opening track “Can You Feel It” explodes with searing guitars and Solomon’s distorted voice slices through the boom-bap of tumultuous drums. “Our goal was to make jock jams for the future,” Derek says about the album opener. “At the time, we were listening to a lot of Sleigh Bells, and we wanted to create something mean and gritty that you could hear on Sportscenter. This track gets people hyped up, and it perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the album.” Unadulterated energy ties the band’s unstoppable genre-hopping as FAMILY FORCE 5 explores low slung bass booms and harmonica howls on “Wobble” and the tongue-in-cheek “scenie baby” call-out pop song, “Tank Top.” These are songs for blaring at maximum volume, blasting from a sweaty club or a low-riding pick-up truck. “III sounds like rock and roll with barbecue sauce,” Derek laughs.

Although they aren’t afraid to take a trip on the ironic side, the band tips their hats to authenticity and the places where they grew up. “We embraced the redneck part of where we are from,” Solomon says. “We tried to run away from it for so long, but there’s no denying: there’s some country boy in us.” On III, the band wanted to infuse a taste of reality too, exploring more than just the party scene that they had been espousing for their career. On “Paycheck,” the band addresses the challenges of living in a country suffering with economic collapse and seemingly incurable unemployment.

“I’m broke/broke as a joke/thinkin’ ‘bout movin’ back in with my folks,” Solomon sings on “Paycheck.”

Along their tireless touring schedule, FAMILY FORCE 5 heard the stories of their fans who were down on their luck, unemployed and struggling to survive. “A lot of America is pretty poor right now,” Solomon explains. “We kept hearing our fans say that they were living paycheck to paycheck. So we wanted to write a song about that, with a positive message that turns it around.”

On the downbeat “Not Alone,” they dig a little deeper as Solomon sings about the anxiety and tribulations induced by leaving their families at home amidst their relentless tour schedule. The song’s desperate longing for restoration also drew inspiration from the severe illness of his brother and bandmate Joshua, who nearly died from kidney failure during the band’s Christmas tour. “We were on tour, and I was in emergency room with him, so there was nobody else out there when I found out that he was really sick,” Solomon remembers. “I felt so alone at that moment in time and I wanted to talk about that in this song. It’s one of the most serious songs we’ve written. We still have some crazy, stupid-fun songs, but now we can get a little deeper. I feel like we’re growing up.”

After a lifetime of making music, FAMILY FORCE 5 have unmistakably come into their own. They’ve forged together their disparate musical influences, their reckless attitude, and heartfelt authenticity into III. Now, with hardships behind them and the open road ahead, the band is on a mission to keep their fire spreading and their family growing.

“FAMILY FORCE 5 is a real, authentic community that transcends the music,” Derek says. “We make music that we love, and we hope other people love it too, whether it makes them break-dance, two-step, or simply smile.”

Welcome to the Family.........

The City Harmonic - I have a Dream [it feels like home] 2011 Biography and historyThe City Harmonic - I have a Dream [it feels like home] 2011 Biography and history
History ::
2011 Breakout Artist of the Year The City Harmonic barreled its way from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada onto the music scene with Introducing The City Harmonic, an EP featuring “Manifesto,” which soared to No. 5 on iTunes and captivated over a million viewers on YouTube. Top that with becoming the best selling new artist on Billboard’s Top Current Digital Sales Chart (over 80K downloads), and it’s enough, among life’s crazy distractions, to get your attention.

But this band—vocalist/songwriter and pianist Elias Dummer, bassist Eric Fusilier, guitarist Aaron Powell and drummer Josh Vanderlaan— isn’t content to feed the machine or build a fan base so much as to build upon a dream. And not a dream as in a fairy tale. But THE Dream. These four guys grapple with the tension of this world, crafting it into anthems of longing, hope, and love—songs of light for ‘seeing through a glass darkly.’ The City Harmonic makes music that makes you reconsider what you really believe… about yourself, your world and your God.

Launching Oct 18th, The City Harmonic’s Kingsway release, I HAVE A DREAM (IT FEELS LIKE HOME), is one of the most anticipated full-length imports in decades. Co-produced by the band with Jared Fox, I HAVE A DREAM (IT FEELS LIKE HOME) is a journey of imagination, cinematic in composition, and, as is signature for the band, a definitive reflection of The City Harmonic’s organic, communal aesthetic. Intelligent, deeply spiritual and intrinsically ‘real life,’ it reveals the poetic art of The City Harmonic, a band bent on living today for the world to come.

“This project for us was like a journey through a lot of intertwining things,” Elias Dummer says of the band’s full-length debut. “At its heart is the overarching theme of brokenness and redemption, of light and dark, the unveiling of something bigger and better than ourselves.”

The title track and first single, which was written even before the songs on the EP, has always been the lynchpin on which the full-length record would hinge. “The dream, like Martin Luther King’s, is that there is another way,” Elias explains, “that it can be what we say it is, the eventual truth that we will awaken, just as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz awakened from her dream, to find ourselves home at last.”

Like a roadmap with only one route, to sum up the journey of faith and mystery that is I HAVE A DREAM (IT FEELS LIKE HOME) would seemingly deprive the listener of the essence of the experience. But from the opening notes, a deliberate quest unfolds.

Setting the stage for the project as a whole, with ties to John 17, the piano-pounding “Yours” flies in the face of our consumer-driven society, an anthem of surrender that points toward the tension of living in this world as a Christian, while “Spark” introduces the theme of light, hinting at its transforming power:

Could a spark of Your love light the whole Church on fire?

When we care for our neighbour more than we care for style?

“Being a Christian now is more difficult than it was 200 years ago,” Elias says of the thematic trail. “We face tragedy at every turn because of the way our media and culture operates. The stories of this world have let us down. Politics have let us down. We try to cope with it by becoming apathetic or by hiding in the Christian bubble—some altered version of the American dream where living for Christ leads to personal comfort— even misguided Christian stories can let us down and this is the tension of the world we live in. Christianity isn’t a tool to escape suffering, it’s a lens by which we understand it and the means by which we live through it. Our culture is built on the notion that our spirituality can be compartmentalized but, simply put, the Christian story isn’t. We can go from mountaintop to valley in the span of a day, and in the midst of that valley Christ calls us to love our neighbors, our enemies, just as if we were with them on the mountaintop. Apathy may be a natural result of today’s broken world, but the Christian story is that Christ is redeeming his creation and we have a role to play as the body of Christ.”

Inspired by the story of Transfiguration in Matthew 17 and by Martin Luther King’s iconic speech, “Mountaintop” asserts the notion that as ambassadors here, citizens of a Kingdom to come, we are meant to live and love among the ruins. “Jesus talks about countercultural ways of living among the least of these,” Elias continues. “It’s not glamorous. It’s hard work. If we boil it all down to what exists in church, ultimately, we make being a churchgoer a poor substitute for being Jesus in our communities or even engaging our communities at all.”

“Some of the most powerful moments where I recognize God’s presence in a real way have been completely outside the church worship context,” adds Eric. ”We’ve had to grow up out of the default cultural Christian mindset of worship, instead responding to wherever you sense God, which truthfully is everywhere.”

I HAVE A DREAM builds from “Mountaintop” with “Fell Apart,” “Be Still O My Soul” and “Wake Me Up,” pointing to the reality of God in our dark nights of the soul; the light of his presence when we ache for ‘something real in a world of fake.’

Layer by layer, I HAVE A DREAM (IT FEELS LIKE HOME) builds toward the title track, a soaring, melodic anthem that sings the hope of heaven imprinted on our hearts before the foundation of the world. From the romantic interlude “Le Reve,” meaning ‘the dream,’ each song intertwines with another, painting an irresistible picture of grace at work through us. The City Harmonic’s interpretation of I Corinthians 13, “Love” forms a bridge into “Holy (Wedding Day),” a beautiful ballad about the ultimate redemption, the glorious day to come when faith becomes sight. All that remains, besides the bonus version of “Manifesto,” is the heartfelt “Benediction,” which just might be the perfect farewell for any communal act of worship.

Live like you mean it

Sing like you’re living for God

Whether in full-on pop explosion or in ethereal ballad, the songs of The City Harmonic connect to that missing piece in all of us and give us cause and permission to sing out. Which frankly is part of the band’s DNA.

That much will never change for The City Harmonic, the curiously captivating sing-along nature of the music they make. It was, and is always, birthed with community expression in mind.

“Music engages us emotionally and intellectually,” says Elias. “There are universal signs of God’s presence in every part of it. … it’s like a glimpse of something bigger than ourselves, some pervasive and yet otherworldly dream. And if we can somehow spark in people that dream, something they just can’t shake, then I hope that will inspire them to sing like every word matters, to live like every day matters, and having tasted heaven, they’ll get on with helping this world feel more like home.”...............

Micah Stampley - One Vo1ce 2011 biography and historyMicah Stampley - One Vo1ce 2011 biography and history
History ::
As worship continues to spill over geographical borders and ignite a passion in people around the globe, Micah Stampley is excited about creating music that is the soundtrack for this generation of worshippers. He does so yet again on his new Music World album, One Voice, a powerful collection of songs that are musically diverse yet lyrically focused.

“My vision for this particular album was to be a call to every culture, every nation, every race,” Stampley relates. “Ministry should cater to people from all walks of life and my approach to this album was to be accommodating to those cultures. The message is a message of love. The number one thing that we should be striving for is the love of Christ, and that’s the heart of this recording. That is the message and the heartbeat of this album.”

Musically, Stampley has incorporated a variety of influences and the songs are a vibrant tapestry full of bold textures and resonant hues. He’s never afraid to try something different with a melody and always finds inventive ways to frame his meaty lyrics. When it comes to defining his musical style, Micah is the first to admit, people don’t really know how to describe him, and he’s okay with that. “My music just so different from my peers in the gospel community and it’s really been difficult for people to put a tag on what type of artist I am,” he says. “It’s been a struggle for a lot of people. They want to say ‘you are a praise and worship artist’ and others are saying ‘traditional gospel? Contemporary gospel? We don’t really know what Micah is, but we like it.’”

Even at an early age, Micah had a gift for music and for connecting with people. Born in Los Angeles, he was raised in Louisiana. By age seven, he was directing choirs. “God had gifted me at a very young age and they would pick me up and put me on top of the offering table because the choir couldn’t see me,” he recalls with a smile. “I remember those days and the funny thing is these were all adults that I was teaching soprano, alto and tenor parts to. I was directing and teaching mass choirs and I’m hearing people sing wrong parts and I’m saying, ‘oh, it’s not the right note. This is the part’ and they are looking at me like ‘this little boy can’t be telling me that I’m singing the wrong note. I don’t know who he thinks he is!’ It was really funny because I had to grow up quicker because I was always dealing with adults. It was good.”

Though secular music wasn’t allowed in his home, young Micah couldn’t help but be exposed to the pop sounds of the day, riding on the school bus and elsewhere. So he soaked up the favors of the day from Michael Jackson to Cyndi Lauper and those began mingling with Shirley Caesar, Andraé Crouch and Michael W. Smith to provide an intriguing musical potpourri. “There are rock guitars that I’ve implemented in my music, into traditional gospel songs, so that’s what makes my music just so different,” Stampley explains.

Though he was a preacher’s kid, growing up in a loving Christian home, it didn’t make Stampley immune to the turmoil in his neighborhood. He saw a man die when he was just nine-years-old and two of his brothers were murdered. “I witnessed my first murder in my front yard, a gentlemen died right in front of me. I watched him take his last breath with a bullet in his chest,” says Stampley. Yet he managed to escape the death and destruction around him. “I refused to become a part of my environment. I didn’t know that this would happen for me, but what I did know is that I loved God. I really truly loved the Lord Jesus Christ and I just felt there was something more for me than what I was seeing and experiencing.”

Music proved to be Stampley’s ticket out of tragedy. He won the Stellar Awards Star Search in 2004 and his musical gifts combined with his passion for serving God soon made it abundantly clear that his music ministry would be blessed. He began serving with Bishop T.D. Jakes and also began his recording career. Though he’s never had any formal vocal training, Stampley has a range that is astounding. “It’s just a sound that God has given me,” he says. “I think he just kind of fine tuned my vocal chords and gave me this high register. I can sing bass and/or soprano naturally. It’s pretty amazing and to be honest, I can’t explain it. It’s just something that happens whenever I feel the presence of God come over me. I sing at heights that I never thought any man would sing.”

That amazing vocal gift shines on “One Voice” from the emotional ballad “Overcome and Worthy” to the thumping joyful world beat of “Hosanna,” Stampley brings each track vibrantly to life. In writing songs for his new album, Stampley didn’t have to go far to work with his favorite collaborator. His wife Heidi co-wrote much of the album including the potent title track. “I wrote the music and Heidi wrote all of the lyrics for that song. She began to write the lyrics of that song: ‘different colors, many expressions, but when we worship, we sing to an audience of one, we are salt and light, the world must see us unified,” Stampley says reciting the lyric. “It was just amazing to hear. She’s such a poet.”

Stampley says the song provided the perfect title track to the album. “That song is a call to every nation, to every tongue, to every creed, to every culture, to every race to stop fighting,” he says. “Let’s get together. We are serving one God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s stop all the madness and be unified and that’s the message of that song.”

The album opener, “Heaven on Earth,” is a vibrant anthem that is connecting powerfully with people. “Desperate People” is a moving ballad that resonates strongly with listeners in these troubled times. “Overcome & Worthy” is among Stampley’s favorite songs. “The first time I heard it was by the Desperation Band and I fell in with the song,” he says. “The first time I heard it was at a local church here in Houston and it was just so powerful and so amazing.” This line seems like it could be condense to at our local church in houston by the Desperation Band.

“Call of Love” was written after Micah and Heidi had loaded up their car with blankets and thermos full of hot chicken soup and distributed among the homeless in Houston. “We went under the bridge downtown and began distributing hot soup and the blankets,” recalls Stampley. “I remember one gentleman shook my hand. He was freezing. He was shivering he said, ‘I thought that He had forsaken me, but I now believe that God really does love me.’ I cried and cried and cried. Heidi and I were literally crying driving home. It was uncontrollable and I said, ‘this is what true ministry is.’ So ‘Call of Love’ speaks of that type of work—‘for the broken and the shamed, let my heart burn like a flame, let me be the conduit of perfect love.’” ( I actually wrote this before this experience-we rode home singing it)

“One Voice” is Stampley’s fifth album and he continues to serve as worship pastor at his home church in Houston in addition to recording and touring. He and his wife, Heidi, have been married 13 years and have five children. In a rather unusual blessing, Stampley himself has been adopted. “Aside from all of this, I have a whole other life. I’m also a Prince,” he says. “I was legally adopted by the King in Ghana, Africa. I met his Royal Majesty in 2005. I was singing at a conference in Los Angeles and he was a keynote speaker at a luncheon and when I finished singing right before he got up to speak, he was crying.” Micah assist with praise and worship occasionally when we are in town but he isn’t the worship pastor

The two men struck up a friendship that had developed into something stronger and Stampley takes great pride in his adopted nation. “80% of our kingdom is still undeveloped, exactly how God created it,” he says. “We are in the process of building it up, infrastructures, roads, things like that. It’s a very, very beautiful place. We’re one of the largest exporters of cocoa. We distribute cocoa all over the world. Our mangos are the size of footballs. It is very organic, very plush. I have huge plans for my kingdom and for my people and I’m very excited.” He was referencing Ghana is one of the largest exporters of cocoa so I think it’s important that it’s clear that it’s not just Se Kingdom that he is referencing. We want to put accurate information out.

Micah Stampley has a global vision for spreading the gospel and showing the love of Jesus Christ to a hurting world. Music is the universal language and on One Voice, he issues an invitation to sing along. It’s an offer that’s too good to miss...........

History ::
Come To The Well is the 5th studio album from Casting Crowns, and is an appeal to Christians to let the "living water" of Christ well up in us, overflowing into the relationships we have around us (spouses, parents, children, neighbors, strangers), both inside the church and beyond. Inspired by the story of Jesus talking to the woman at the well, the title track illuminates the album's main theme: "She thought she was standing by a well talking to a man, but really she was standing by a hole in the ground and she was talking to the well," frontman Mark Hall says. "We come to Jesus and we have already got our well. We have already got what we think is going to sustain us and we come to Him to bless our thing so our thing will work even better for us. Jesus isn't a sprinkle. He is life. That's the central teaching moment of the record."...........

The Waiting Kind - The Waiting Kind EP biography and historyThe Waiting Kind - The Waiting Kind EP biography and history
History ::
The Band "The Waiting Band" are a progressive worship band that has a passion for seeing young, old, broken, and restored people touched by God's presence in music. They believe in the power of "waiting"...or the moment when our brokenness is met with God's redemption...As they wait...he hears and responds to our voice.

"...Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, the...y will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary..." Is. 40:31

Since their beginning in 2005, this has been the theme of the members that make up the Christian indie rock band "The Waiting Kind." "We believe strongly that there is a power to waiting on the Lord in worship...the strength that comes in this setting is unlike any other grace we have come to know..." said the lead singer Derek Henbest. With influences such as Hillsong United, David Crowder band, and their friends Leeland; a very British rock with an ambient texture became what they now call "The Waiting Kind.” Their hearts have been to lead a generation in an anthem of praise; from hearts that sing grateful melodies of praise. They began to develop their sound in the back halls and prayer rooms of their church. Most of the lyrics and melodies have been inspired by time spent in personal and community worship. This love and mercy they spoke of developed into hymnal sounds of worship that inspired their local congregation and became choruses of strength. "...We pray that this is a sound that not only mirrors our love for what our Savior has done...but a sound that captures the heart of Him who first loved us..."...........

JJ Heller - Deeper 2011 biography and historyJJ Heller - Deeper 2011 biography and history
History ::
If you ask JJ Heller to describe 2010 in a few words, her reply would be, “A year of blessing and change.” JJ’s career has grown steadily since she began playing music full-time with her husband, Dave, in 2003. But in 2010 the impact of JJ’s music blossomed like never before.

The year began with JJ’s song “Your Hands” spinning on nearly 60 reporting Christian adult cont...emporary FM stations, including K-LOVE, the largest Christian radio network in the US. In the span of a few short months, JJ’s music was no longer reaching several thousand, but several million listeners.

"Your Hands" made itself at home on Billboard Magazine’s Christian Songs’ chart for 24 weeks, and peaked at #13. In the following months, JJ saw her music placed on the ABC family show “Make It Or Break It,” and CW’s “One Tree Hill.”

In August of 2010, JJ’s second radio single, “What Love Really Means,” began to find its way into the hearts of a new audience. Radio stations started receiving calls and e-mail messages from listeners who were brought to tears as they heard the song. The warm reception helped “What Love Really Means” surpass the success of “Your Hands” on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. Eventually, over 60 reporting stations added the single to their rotation.

JJ’s first music video was posted to youtube.com in September. With the help of social networking sites like facebook.com, the video was viewed over 100,000 times within the first 48 hours.

“When I’m With You,” Heller’s fourth full-length record, was quickly embraced by fans after its October 19 release. “It’s my favorite album I’ve recorded so far,” Heller says. “When I’m With You” charted for 12 or more weeks on Billboard Magazine’s Christian Albums, Heatseekers Albums, and Folk Albums charts.

“2010 was an amazing year,” Heller says. “It’s been nice to be home during the beginning of 2011 to spend some time with family and friends, and to work on craft projects, but it always feels good to start playing concerts again and sharing my heart with more listeners.” JJ is actively songwriting, blogging, sewing, decorating and being a wife and mother.

JJ hits the road this spring to headline several shows, speaking as often as she can about her enthusiasm for the work World Vision does around the world to transform the communities they serve by tackling the causes of poverty.

"JJ Heller is one of the most talented artists I've ever worked with. Her voice and songs are extremely uplifting, not to mention the blessing she has been to me and my family. The room lights up when she enters! She and David have become great friends over the past few years and It's a privilege to be associated with such amazing talent and dear people!"
MITCH DANE - Grammy-winning engineer/producer

"Listening to JJ Heller’s “What Love Really Means” brings me to tears! What a beautiful reminder that no matter where you find yourself in life, God loves you… Really loves you, no matter what you have done or failed to do, He is always there. What an amazing message to share with everyone who listens."................

History ::
“Life, in general, is noise,” says Geoff Hunker, lead singer and founder of Satellites & Sirens, a band on the brink of releasing its debut album on Word Records this spring. “We get up and we fill ourselves with so much stuff. And we busy ourselves so much that a lot of times we miss out on hearing what God’s direction is.” It would be too easy to stereotype Hunker as one of those musician types who just love hearing themselves make abstractions—mainly because he actually has a handle on what he’s talking and, more importantly, singing about. There is, after all, tension inherent in the amount of noise our culture makes: that noise can indeed be overwhelming and oppressive, but it can also be expressive of the human experience and, therefore, beautiful. S&S, which consists of Hunker, Jonathan Dimmel (drums), David Troyer (guitar), and Brandon Owens (bass/synth), embody that tension—both through their music and through their experience............

Deas Vail - Deas Vail 2011 English Christian AlbumDeas Vail - Deas Vail 2011 English Christian Songs
Deas Vail is the latest Christian Alternative self titled album released by American Christian Alternative Rock Band Deas Vail. This album was released on October 11, 2011 and released under the label mono vs. Stereo Records.

Album Details::

Album :: Deas Vail

Artist :: Deas Vail

Genre :: Alternative

Label :: Mono Vs Stereo Records

Location :: Russelville, AR, USA

Deas Vail - Deas Vail 2011 biography and historyDeas Vail - Deas Vail 2011 biography and history
History ::
Noted for having musical similarities to Death Cab for Cutie, Mew, Copeland, and Mae, Deas Vail was formed in the university town of Russellville, Arkansas in 2003. After a couple of years of touring, Deas Vail signed to Brave New World Records (founded by producer Mark Lee Townsend) in 2005. In the fall of 2006, they released the Collapse EP. Sales for the EP through touring alone exceeded 2,500 units. Deas Vail toured across the nation with artists such as John Reuben, The New Frontiers, and The Tide.

In late 2006, the band entered the studio again with Mark Lee Townsend to finish their first indie label LP, All the Houses Look the Same. The album was nationally released on March 6, 2007 and featured in magazines such as Alternative Press, Relevant Magazine, and Hard Music Magazine. Another EP, White Lights EP, was released on August 26, 2008. Their latest album, Birds and Cages, was released on October 27, 2009 through the revived label Mono vs. Stereo, available through the band's website, via iTunes, and on tour. The album had a full physical release on January 26, 2010.

In September 2009, the band toured with Mae, followed by a tour with Owl City and Lights in early 2010. In March and April 2010, Deas Vail toured as an opening band for Copeland on their farewell tour. Deas Vail performed as part of the 2010 Vans Warped Tour from August 1 through August 15. In late 2010, two-fifths of Deas Vail, Wes Blaylock and Andy Moore, performed as an acoustic duo to open a set of Christmas-themed shows with Sherwood and Relient K.

In the music video for "Excuses", all band members were seen wearing an armband with a key attached to it on their left forearm. When questioned at their concert with Owl City and Lights at the Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge, LA, Laura Blaylock stated, "The keys are kind of from our new album Birds & Cages and they represent freedom from cages."

By October 2010, the band had begun work on their new self-titled album, which is set to be released October 11, 2011. On May 25, 2011, they released a lyric video of their new song, "Sixteen", with another video, "Summer Forgets Me", premiering on Alt Press' website nearly a month later.......
